Resources: Large Print and Braille Information: Online Digital Audio Books
ONLINE DIGITAL AUDIO BOOKS MADE AVAILABLE TO PATRONS OF THE OHIO LIBRARY FOR THE BLIND & PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED
The State Library of Ohio has joined the Unabridged Digital Audio Books project.These online digital audio books can be enjoyed on personal computers with Windows Media Player, or transferred to a portable CD or MP3 player or other WMA-enabled devices for your listening pleasure.
Access to Unabridged online digital audio books will be available FREE to ALL REGISTERED OHIO LBPH PATRONS.Patrons will need access to a computer with an Internet connection to download the media console required to play the audio books, as well as the books themselves.
Any patrons interested should contact the Cleveland Pubic Library/Library for the Blind & Physically Handicapped at 216-923-2911 or 1-800-362-1262 or by e-mail at lbph@cpl.org.Patrons will receive a special card number that they will need when downloading any digital audio books.
This is a one year pilot project financed through the State Library of Ohio, so LBPH encourages those who participate to lend their feedback on their experiences using the unabridged digital audio book service.
